Topnote Butterfly

I was loving all the quilt cards that I was seeing made with the top note die so I had to try it out. Can't find the tutorial that I followed but here is the card that inspired me! I sponged all my layers to give it a more antique feel. I want to try making baby cards next!

Sun-Ripened Pear

I've been lacking on keeping up with my blog, my laptop died and I've been sharing the old desktop computer with my boys! Today's card is for the sketch challenge over on Stamp TV. I got my hands on a set of Stampin Up's Sun-Ripened 1 and I've been having lots of fun playing with it. I deceided to try my hand at water coloring. I used my SU ink pads and water brush. I went out of the lines a little so i deceided to give it a all over coloring to cover it up. I'm pretty happy with the results! I found a bunch of vintage lace at a yard sale this spring and I think it will work great with these type of fruit cards. I wasn't a big fan of the Kiwi CS but I Love it with the Crushed Curry! Of course it's now retired and I can't get any more, but I still have some left to play with!

Hello! It's been over a week since I posted or even made a card! We went away for a long holiday weekend. Love getting away but it's also great to be back home and making cards again :) Today's card is a double challenge card. I combined the potluck Friday challenge from Stamp TV and this weeks CAS challenge on SCS. For the potluck Friday challenge we were to use punches on our card and for the CAS we were to make a Birthday card. I Love this style card and have used it alot. I use one of my mini square CB folders to make the little blocks around the cupcakes.
