Elegant Christmas

Hello! I have another Christmas card to share with you today, I LOVE how this one turned out!! I cut out my poinsettia and added some greens and popped it up with foam tape. I added pearls to the center and added some sparkle with my Sakura Stardust clear glitter pen. I never seem to be able to get the sparkle to show in my pictures though. I placed it on top of a strip of metallic silver CS that was covered with Lace and ribbon. I added more silver pearls to the centers of the diamonds on my CB'd background. Guess that about covers it, thanks for stopping by and have a Wonderful New Year!!

Blue Christmas

Hello!! Can you believe it is only 9 more days till Christmas?? Where has the time went? I have most of my shopping done but haven't wrapped a thing! Hoping to bake some cookies on Saturday if it suits my Mom to come over. We like to do the old fashioned sand tarts. Takes alot of work but they are fun to decorate and taste good too!

Today's card uses the December Poinsettia digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! It is also available in a stamp set. I Love seeing all the variety of colors they have the Poinsettias in now. I can't actually have a real one cause they are toxic for my fur babies plus I would probably kill it anyway!! No green thumb here, I've almost killed my Christmas Catus several times!!! ;0)

I kept my card CAS and went with Blue for a more non traditional card. I used my Sakura clear glitter pen on my flowers/leaves and finished it off with tiny silver pearls. With the glitter pen and metallic cardstock it has a nice little sparkle. Thanks for stopping by!

Posy Patch Creation

Hello! Well I finally took the plunge and played with my Heartfelt Creations stamps that I bought back in Oct at the stamp show in York PA! The challenge over at Joan's Garden helped get me motivated! They have a awesome prize package sponsered by Heartfelt Creations in honor of their 25th challenge!

I LOVE the cards I see made with these stamps, all the layers and dimension you can get with them. I guess I've been kinda intimidated by them, afraid I won't do them justice maybe?? Anyway after MANY hours and going WAY outside my comfort zone, I have finished my card and I'm very pleased with it!!

I took a paper doily and sponged it softly to better match my colors. I really like the look/feel it adds to the card. I used one of my vintage hat pins that I've been hoarding, I came across them the other summer at a yard sale! I added a few beads, stuck it thru my lace an added a pretty bow(that I made with my Bow-Easy, Love that thing!). The flowers are cut out and popped up at several different levels to give it lots of dimension. I added different size pearls to all the flower centers. I finished it off with 2 of my own crocheted butterflies. I added a little trail of pearls to each one.

I have decided that I will give this card to my Mom for Mother's Day! She LOVES flowers and she is the one who taught me to crochet and I think it will make her smile! She doesn't use computers so I know I can keep her from seeing this! I just need to keep it hidden here at home for when she stops by.

Well thanks for stopping by, sorry for the long post today! The list of challenges this is for and all the supplies used is listed below. Please let me know what you think of the card! I may even start working on another one now that I have the first one under my belt!! LOL :0)

Embossed Pumpkin

Hello! Today I have another CAS card to share with you. I almost didn't use any stamps on my card but the back panel looked a little plain to me so I went with a weathered background stamp to match the squares of DP. The pumpkin was made with the SU small oval punch then ran thru the CB before assembling. The center oval is raised up for some dimension. I hand cut a little stem and then added the button cause I thought it could use a little something else??!! I softly sponged around everything with Really Rust ink to give it a more distressed look. Snow Bear

Hello! Found a few challenges that I could combine for a Christmas/winter card today! Had a hard time getting a decent picture of it though, it's very overcast here today. My card is really sparkly, I used lots of stickles for the snow. Since I wanted to use stickles I had to use versafine ink seems if I use memento that the stickles makes the lines run/blur?? Anyone else notice that problem when using stickles?? Anyway since I used versafine I used my Prisma color pencils on my image and dug out my chalks to color my sky. I added some glossy accent to the bears nose and buttons. It turned out really cute!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Goodbye Summer

Hello! Well since today is the last day of summer I thought I'd make a summery card. It sure is a warm day here, near 90! Found several challenges using punches this week, gave me a chance to use my new Daisy chain punch, LOVE this punch! I also used another new embossing folder from the craft show I was at the other weekend. This one is by Crafts-Too also and called Butterflies, Love it! It gives a clear and deep embossed image, I even like the depossed side. I have one more new one from them to try yet. This card also uses my much neglected Prisma colored pencils, since I've discovered Copics they don't get used very often. I do like the softness of them on this card though, guess I need to use them more often! Challenges and supplies used is listed below. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy this last day of summer!!

Be my Friend

Hello! Taking a little break from Fall cards today! A friend stamped me some of these sentiments to play with, Thanks Stacy!! It kinda reminds me of the footprints in the sand sentiment so I went with a beach theme for my card. I picked up this roll of blue crafting mesh at a yard sale this summer for something like .10, now I need to come up with some more ideas to use it! I'm thinking maybe some lighthouse or boat cards too?? The white background piece was embossed with my impressabilities sea scape die.
