Merry Christmas

Hello! It's the last challenge for the year at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's the annual Anything Goes and runs till Jan 2nd. Some of the DT really got their craft on so be sure to check them out! I just have a card with a lot of die cuts and very little stamping (sentiment) but I have to say I'm very happy with how my card turned out. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Peace & Joy

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches! Last one for the year and it happens to be one of mine. Hope you like it and can play along. I used a Beccy's Place freebie called Poinsettia (2009).  Colored them with my Copics and added some Nailheads to the flower centers. Used various punches and dies for my greenery. Think the sentiment was from a Hero Arts set?? Love the colors on this one looks so much prettier in real life. Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has come up with. Challenges are listed below.

Trim the Tree

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means its new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week I took the literal approach to the sketch! Thanks to my friend Stacy I had some of these lovely Taylored Expressions Trim a Tree die cuts to use (this die is now on my wish list). I really decked out my trees with lots of bling. My stitched hills are done with some shimmery card stock and I added some Stickles along the edges. The Merry Christmas was done with a Paper Smooches die. Love how this one turned out and I don't think my picture does it justice. Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with.

Christmas Candles

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I flipped the sketch this week to make it work for my image. I won this digi awhile back and can't seem to find/remember who it's from?! Hate when that happens but there's just to much to keep tract of these days. It's colored with Copics. I finished it off with some rhinestones and vintage lace that I thought went well with the sketch/image. Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with.

Mistletoe and Holly

Hello! Today's card was inspired by my friend Carol! When I saw the cards she made I knew I had to case them. Here is the card/s I cased, Traditional Christmas Colors. I wish I had the holly embossing folder she used because it's so pretty and I love all the berries but made due with this one. My ribbon is much narrower  and I used some scraps of DP for my Holly. Oh and I add an extra layer/base. That's it for now! Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch. List of challenges are below.

Cardinal and Holly

Hello! Today's card uses the Cardinal and Holly freebie from Beccy's Place. It makes such pretty Christmas cards. It was colored with Copic markers and I added some Glossy Accents to the berries. The outer white "lacey" oval is from MFT. I gently folded in all the edges to frame the image, not that it will stay that way when mailed I guess but I liked the look it gave anyway. That's all for now. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Glitter Ornaments

Hello! Managed to make it to the craft room for a bit to make this CAS card. Awhile back when I was at the Dollar Tree I came across these pks of self adhesive "glitter" paper. Thought it would make some sparkly cards. Anyway I saw the YNS inspiration picture and thought I'd try out this paper. It cut easily and the best way to describe it is to say it's like making your own stickers?!?! They are thin when peeled of the backing but they don't lose there sparkle/glitter. If they still have some next time I go I will be picking up some more. Three 8 1/2x 11 sheets for $1 is a great deal. The ornaments are Impression Obsession and the snowflakes are Art Impressions I think? I need to find a place to buy that silver cord in bulk! I always pick up the spool with 3 colors (Red, Gold & Silver) around the holidays at the "Box" craft stores and run out of silver an end up with tons of the other 2 colors. That's it for now thanks for stopping by!

With Love

Hello! Time for another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is very similar to last weeks sketch but I tried to give it a different feel/look?! The black lacey looking strip is actually from a roll of precut self adhesive decorative tape I guess is the best way to describe it?! Picked it up at one of the "box" craft stores awhile back. The heart and key are Spellbinders dies. Thought this would make for a classy wedding or even anniversary card. Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with this week!

Christmas Lamp

Hello! I've been MIA for a few weeks except for my prescheduled TMS DT posts. I had some major surgery on the 1st and it's been very slow going. I felt good enough for small amounts of time at the craft table this past week. Won't tell you how long it took to make this card! Considering the fact I had already colored the image and picked out the pretty paper previously. It's been killing me not to be able to participate in the month long Holiday card challenge over at Beccy's Place. Now I have made at least 1 for it! Excuse the poor photo I can't move very well yet and guess I was to far away and the picture is a bit blurry. Anyway I'm happy with how this one turned out, looks really nice in real life! That's it for now enjoy you day!

Butterfly Wishes

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means its time for a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's a quick and easy one this week. This one came together rather quickly with stuff that I had laying around on my desk. The butterfly came in a pk of 3 from M's ages ago, have them in several colors and finally used one. I added some rhinestones to it. The sentiment and scallop die edge are from PTI. Might have to make this one again in other color combos and sentiments? Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with this week.

Never Regret

Hello! It's time for this week's new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I have flipped the sketch to make it work with the Rubbernecker sentiment (also picked up at the recent stamp show that I went to) that I choose to use for this week. I really like this sentiment! Reminds of another favorite sentiment of mine.....Live, Love, Laugh it's just a bit longer and more detailed! Off to the right side of my card I've used this piercing/embossing die that I've had for AGES. It was fun to use a tool that was forgotten about again! That's all for now please be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with this week.

Sweet!

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week is a fairly simple sketch but let me tell you it sure had me stumped! Still not 100% happy with what I came up with but it's done! My cute little bear is from a TAC (The Angel Company) not sure of the name as I was gifted some images ages ago. The sentiment is from Sweet 'n' Sassy Stamps. That's it for today be sure to stop by and check out the rest of the DT has come up with this week. Challenges are listed below.

Patriotic Thank you

Hello! I'm back for a quick 2nd post/card today.  My earlier Christmas card is below. This was a quick and easy one, only stamping is the sentiment. Lots of embossing and a few die cuts. Oh and a paper crimper on the heart. I think I want to remake this one again later in only Red, White and Blue??! Ok that's it for tonight! Be sure to stop back by in the morning for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch.

Hello! Back with another Christmas card to share with you. Dug out a favorite Impression Obsession Chickadee stamp this round. Colored it with Copics and added a bit of Nuvo glitter markers (another purchase from that darn stamp show!) to the holly and berries. Then I topped it off with some glossy accents on the berries. I used a small black nailhead for his eye. Have some gold accents with the card stock layers and the extra Nailheads. This sparkles in real life. Thanks so much for stopping by! Bonjour!

I'm Baaaaaack! Managed to squeeze in one final card for the Cat Lover's Hop! Sure hope I can find/remember this one again for next year because it's been a load of fun. Love getting to ink up some of my many cat stamps. This one for example I've had for quite awhile and never used. Unfortunately I have way to many of those! This paper crafting sure is an addiction, but at least it's a fun one. :-)  This reminds me of "Lucky" his picture is on my sidebar. He is one SPECIAL cat. I've had LOTS of cats over the years but none quite like him. LOADS of personality and follows my husband around like a puppy. Love all my cats but this one will really HURT to lose. I keep telling him he needs to break the Guinness World Record which I believe is something like 38 years??!! Longest I've ever had personally so far is 17. He's around 8 so we should be good for awhile yet. Anyway enough about that! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit again soon. Challenges are listed below.

Naughty or Nice?

Hello! Well I was able to make it to my craft room for a bit today to play. This is one of the cards I made more to come in a bit. It uses Christmas Goose from Beccy's Place. How can you look at this guy and not grin?!! I think another fitting sentiment idea would be Bah Humbug?! He looks a bit like Scrooge. Anyway it was a fun card to make/color. Hope it makes you smile. That's it for now but I'll be back soon with another "Cat" card! Challenges are listed below.

Cats, Cats and more Cats!

Hello! I had to have another go at the Cat's Lovers Hop. :-)  This time round I'm using a Bugaboo digi stamp called Cute Kitty. I paired it with the current Stella's Says Sketch although I did make mine A2 in size instead of square. The photo below is of just one of my fur babies! That is Sweet Pea aka Sweets. She likes to come in and rub around my legs/feet. I much prefer when she perches up on one of my paper storage boxes. My chair has wheels I'm always afraid I'll catch her legs or tail. Ok that's all for now not sure if I'll be able to squeeze in 1 more cat card tomorrow or not?! Have a great weekend. Challenges are listed below.

Santa Suit

Hello I'm back! Second post for today, this time round I have a CAS Christmas card to share with you. I'm not a real big Santa fan but that being said I do enjoy making this particular card. It's one of my go to quick cards and it's a great way to use a "recycled" item! I used a soda can tab for a belt buckle. I've used different combo's of embossing folders but these 2 are my favorite. The Script is from Cuttlebug and the Square Lattice is from Stampin Up. I raided my Mom's button tin awhile back and found a bunch of these large black buttons which work perfectly for this card. Ok that's it for today but I'll be back tomorrow with a card.....or two?!! Thanks again for taking time to leave me comments, makes my day! List of challenges is listed below.

Window Kitty

Hello! I've been wanting to make one of these window cards FOREVER!! I'm ashamed to say I've had the die for a LONG time (years even maybe) and I've finally broken it out and played. I don't think that I'll ever be able to use this die without adding a kitty in the window though?! Looks naked without one! I love how this turned out. I want to try adding "curtains" sometime but thought it was too much with the tree for this card? Will have to come up with a non Christmas theme too. Thanks so much for stopping by an have a great day! Challenges are listed below.

Christmas Spirit

Hello! Today I came across a blog hop that's right up my alley, Cat Lover's Blog Hop! It's already half way over but will still try to get a couple of cards done for it. For my first card I dusted off one of my beloved Penny Black stamps. This one is called Christmas Spirit and I colored it with my copics. I used the Your Next Stamp sketch and added 2 felt buttons. The berries and bow have some stickles added to them but the sparkle doesn't show up well in my photo. That's it for now but I'll be back again soon! List of challenges is listed below.

Merry Christmas

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week I've used an adorable Whipper Snapper stamp called "Ike". Isn't he just the cutest??!I colored him with my copics and added some stickles for some sparkle.  My background paper is an extra from the other day when I made the Christmas Bauble card using the Alcohol Ink Baubles tutorial. The snowflakes are from a MS border punch and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches. This is so bright and cheerful! So glad you stopped by an please be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the DT has done with the sketch this week. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Superstar

Hello! It's been awhile since I made anything with any of my adorable Cocoa images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Found this one when I was going thru my box of already colored/cut stuff and thought it would go perfectly with this new embossing folder I picked up at stamp show last weekend. It's from a UK company (can't remember the name) but the folder is called "football"! ;-)  I used my Sweet 'n Sassy grass die with it for a Quick and Easy card. I made/printed the sentiment with my computer and cut it out with a PTI cloud die. Softly went around the edges with some Distress Ink. Make's for a fun kids card. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Challenges are listed below.

Winter Wonderland

Hello! Well I seem to be on a die cutting card making roll?! The sled and tree are from Impression Obsession and they also came along home with me last weekend from the stamp show. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I added some stickles to the sled runner, the edge of the snowy hills, the trees and the snowflakes but it didn't show up to well in the picture. The hills and tress are also done in shimmery white. This really sparkles in real life. That's it for now have a great day and come back soon!

Peace & Joy

I'm back!! I have yet another Christmas card to share with you today. A die card with the only stamping being the sentiment. I was at a stamp show last weekend and added to my die collection or would that be obsession??!! LOL Anyway I realized recently that I had no ornament dies in my stash so when I saw the Impression Obsession set of 3 little ornaments I had to get them. Which worked out perfectly when I saw the picture for the Merry Monday challenge. I went with the literal interpretation for my card. Cut the ornament out of some heavy duty glitter card stock and added a little snowflake die to the center. The branches are from a Tim Holtz set that I picked up off of Amazon recently, gotta LOVE that Amazon Prime! The wood grain paper is by Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. This is a very CAS card to do. I still haven't picked the design for my personal Christmas card to mail out but this one is in the running I think? It's flat and should be no issue mailing? I always make a mass production of 30 to 40 cards. That way I don't have to remember who got what from one year to the next. Makes it easier on me. That is if time/life doesn't get away from me and I can get cards made this year to send. Anyway thanks for stopping by and have a awesome day!

Blue Christmas

Hello! I've been playing in my bag of tiny designer paper scraps this week, I save everything! Been trying to get better and throw some things out but.......it's hard. Anyway I traced the outline on my PTI Christmas Tree die onto a scrap of card stock and randomly placed my paper strips down and it snowballed from there! Ended up with like a dozen tress in various colors. Now to come up with different ways/ideas to use them. For this particular tree I embossed it and then add stickles to the embossing, finished it off with some rhinestones. Cut out some stitched hills (die's I bought off Amazon) from some shimmery card stock so that it looked more like snow. Added a 2nd plain embossed tree for a little depth, and a sparkly snowflake in the corner and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend! It's gonna be a nice here in South Central PA.

Pumpkin Peeker

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week we are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps. I have used the adorable Black Cat Pumpkin Peeker for my card. This week we have a multi layered sketch for you! Not sure I picked the right DP for this sketch as the little squares really hides most of it? But overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I colored it with my copics and added Glossy Accents to the Cat's nose, leaves and the little heart. Added a little gingham bow at the top and a little acorn embellishment at the bottom. Textures of Fall

Hello Fall nice to see you! It's finally feeling like fall here in South Central PA. Summer didn't want to leave, not that I minded a whole lot except it was so humid! Running the AC in October is very unusual for us. Now we have our first frost warning for the AM. Anyway unto my card. I just had to make another card with this adorable scarecrow from DRS Designs. This time I cut him out and added some burlap. I just LOVE the colors on this one! Used the plaid paper for my inspiration. That's it for today!
